Salsa 6-Week Intensive

Join Lux Mambo instructors, Carolyn, Stefan, Susy, and Fonzy for an exciting Salsa On2 6-week intensive! You'll be on your way to Salsa mastery with this progressive series, featuring SIX 90-MINUTE CLASSES designed to enhance your partnering skills, technique, and musicality. Whether you're new to the style or a seasoned dancer, we'll provide you with a fun, in-depth exploration of Salsa On2 appropriate to your level!
WHEN:
Sundays from 3:00-4:30PM, starting September 10, 2023. We will meet for 4 weeks, take 2 weeks off, then meet another 2 weeks as follows:
- September 10
- September 17
- September 24
- October 1
- Two week break
- October 22
- October 29
The series concludes on October 29, 2023.

Beginner is appropriate for dancers with less than 10 hours of instruction in Salsa On1 or On2 (linear styles) or anyone who could use a comprehensive, technique driven review of their Salsa On2 fundamentals. We will cover the foundation and core moves you need to start becoming a smooth social dancer!
Intermediate is appropriate for dancers with at least 10 hours of instruction in Salsa On1 or On2, and who can keep up with a fast-paced On2 class. Dancers should have a strong grasp of their basics, stationary right and left turns, cross body lead and reverse cross body lead (right side pass), and simple turning variations on the cross body lead and reverse cross body lead (i.e., progressive turns). In this intensive class, we'll dive deeper into Salsa On2 with exciting, challenging partnering combinations and shines.
Our two levels will run concurrently from 3:00-4:30 PM, and some instruction will be given to both classes together! While we would like you to indicate below which level you intend to take to give us an idea of our numbers, ultimately class level will be subject to instructor approval.
