Join our prestigious Lux Mambo performance teams for our 2025 season! Audition with this 3-day Choreography Challenge for your chance to perform with us at major festivals and events throughout the year.


Recommended Experience:

  • 25+ hours of Salsa On2 instruction, or
  • 50+ hours of Salsa On1 instruction, or
  • Equivalent experience in other styles with strong dance fundamentals and the ability to learn choreography quickly.


Audition Schedule:

  • Monday, January 20th (7:30–9:30 PM): Learn a challenging short routine.
  • Tuesday, January 21st (9:30–10:30 PM): Review, practice, and Q&A.
  • Sunday, January 26th (4:00 PM): Perform the routine – we’ll record a video for you to keep or share!
  • Applicants must attend all three sessions. If you have a conflict, please reach out to schedule a makeup session to remain eligible for the team.

Long Term Commitment for Selected Dancers:

Our season runs February through August 2025. Rehearsals are 1–2 times per week (depending on the project). Performances include:

  • BIG San Antonio Salsa Festival
  • BIG Salsa Festival Texas
  • Que Padre Latin Dance Festival
  • Local shows throughout Austin, San Antonio, and surrounding areas.


Audition Cost: $50 (includes all three sessions; non-refundable).
