Lux Arts Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Austin, Texas. We support artists and cultural programming rooted in Latin and Afro-Caribbean traditions and open to participants and audiences of all backgrounds.​

Our Work

These traditions are sustained through community participation, but meaningful growth and broader cultural impact require trained artists, paid musicians, performance opportunities beyond the nightclub, youth pathways, and lasting infrastructure. Therefore, our work includes:
  • Dance education and performance training, delivered through locally rooted programming
  • Visiting artist initiatives, especially bringing dancers and musicians from under-represented and under-accessed regions into community engagement
  • Live music programming that supports working musicians and places music at the center of dance performances and community events
  • Cultural events that foster connection, artistic growth, and long-term collaboration
  • Youth cultural arts programs focused on education, exposure, and pathway development
  • Need-based scholarships for youth and adult participant

Why Donate?​

Latin and Afro-Caribbean dance and music are sustained by living artists, musicians, and educators, but ticket sales and class fees alone rarely support the level of quality, access, and continuity these traditions deserve.
​​Donor support allows Lux Arts Collective to do what earned revenue alone cannot:
  • Prioritize artistic quality over volume
  • Support local and visiting artists and musicians through well-produced, meaningful engagements
  • Expand access through youth programming and need-based scholarships
  • ​Build the organizational capacity needed to deliver cultural programming responsibly and sustainably
