Our Story
Studio Lux Dance Company is the passion project of Carolyn De La Rosa, an attorney turned full-time dancer, and Stefan De La Rosa, a lifelong professional Latin dancer and performer. We teamed up to work together as competitive dance partners, but soon discovered we made a great team in all aspects of life. Coming from the San Francisco Bay Area, where we operated The Rose Ballroom dance studio, we relocated to Austin in 2021, drawn by its one-of-a-kind culture, friendly people, and growth. Our vision is to create a dance school where community is paramount, whether you're here just to social dance, perform with one of our teams, or become a dance pro yourself.
