Lesson Policies
Lesson Structure & Packages
- Private lessons are 45 minutes long (Intro Lessons are 30 minutes).
- Group class length varies — check the class listing.
- All packages and bundles must be used within the time period stated at sign up.
- All sales final. Packages, lessons, and classes are non-refundable once purchased. No refunds, credits, or extensions. Unused classes expire at the end of the validity period.
Cancellations & No-Shows
- Private Lessons: Require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged in full.
- Group Classes & Socials: You may cancel online up until class start time to avoid being marked as a no-show.
- If you cancel before the cutoff, your session credit automatically returns to your account. If you cancel late or don’t show up, the session is forfeited.
- We understand emergencies happen — if you’re sick or have an urgent situation, please contact us at [email protected]. Exceptions are at Studio Lux’s discretion.
Health & Liability
Although moderate dancing is safe for many people, dancing does involve inherent physical risks. You voluntarily assume all risks of injury or illness arising from participation. You release and hold harmless Studio Lux, Lux Arts Collective, Carolyn De La Rosa (Barreno), Stefan De La Rosa, and their agents from any claims for injury, illness, or damages. You understand there is risk of exposure to communicable diseases (including COVID-19) and assume full responsibility for such risks. You agree to indemnify Studio Lux from any claims brought by third parties related to your participation. You grant permission for Studio Lux to use photos/videos of you taken in classes or events for promotional purposes, unless you notify them otherwise in writing. You have read, understood, and agree to this waiver. For safety reasons, please do not attend lessons under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

By attending Studio Lux classes or events, you grant permission for photos and videos of you to be used for promotional purposes unless you notify us otherwise in writing.
